Date/Time:  Saturday, February 27, 2010   First Race begins at 9:00 a.m.

Location:   The event will be held at the St. Laurence RE Center located at 3102 Sweetwater Blvd in Sugar Land, TX, on the southeast corner of Sweetwater and Austin Parkway.  Parking is available at the RE Center and the St. Laurence Church parking lot.

Race Distances:  The race open to all children through 8^th grade and they may  participate in any one of the four non-competitive races, 25 yard toddler trot, ¼ mile, ½ mile, and 1 mile. 

Fun Run Event Schedule:

9:00 a.m.        25 yard toddler trot    (4 years of age and under – run in small heats)                

9:10 a.m.        Opening Ceremony

9:15 a.m.        ¼ Mile Run (heats run by grade; open to all children)

9:30 a.m.        ½ Mile Run (heats run by grade; open to all children)

9:45 a.m.        1 Mile Run (Heats run by grades; open to 1^st – 8^th grade)

Times are approximate – once the race is completed, the next race distance will start. Heats may be combined depending on size.

NEW FOR 2010!  Get Fit Kids Fair sponsored by St. Joseph Medical Center 

Parents and Kids are welcome to join in the fun at the Post race party.  There will be plenty of activities, refreshments and much more.  The fair will take place throughout the morning races.

Mission:  Every child is a winner in the Get Fit – Play Hard Fun run. The emphasis is to promote health and fitness to the children in our community. 

Race Proceeds:  The race proceeds will benefit the St. Laurence Catholic School and the Archdiocesan Steps for Students 5K Run/Walk.

Entry Fee:  Early registration is $15.00 per child.  Race day is $18.00.  All entrants receive an official race t-shirt, race number, and finisher medal. 

Special Bonus Item:  A special Get Fit stainless steel sports bottle will be given to the first 500 entrants provided by First Tire & Automotive. 

Registration & Packet Pick-up Dates:

Registration and packet pick-up is located at the St. Laurence RE Center, 3103 Sweetwater Boulevard, Sugar Land, TX.  Race Day registration will be located in the parking lot of the RE Center.

Wednesday, February 17^th                                      2:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Friday, February 19th^th                                             2:30 ­- 5:00 p.m.

Friday, February 26^th                                                2:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 27^th                                           Race morning 8:30 a.m. 

 In case of inclement weather, events will not be rescheduled. Entry fees are non-refundable.  Race Hotline: 281-980-0500 (School Office).
